Monday 11th March, on Marc Riley’s 6Music show, James Yorkston is live in session, playing tracks from his excellent, David Wrench-co-produced album ‘The Route To The Harmonium’ including new, Vince Clarke-remixed single ‘Shallow’.
Also on Monday 11th sees Callum Easter (a member of Young Fathers’ live band as well as a solo artist in his own right) feature on Vic Galloway’s Radio Scotland show and playing tracks from his forthcoming debut album ‘Here or Nowhere’ – that’s from 9pm.

Tell you what, all the hoo-hah about the new BBC Scotland channel, but it loks like BBC Alba are still worth a look. On Saturday 16th Màrt/March from 9pm, ALT, with Mull Historical Society, Deacon Blue, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5, Ninth Wave, and Dancing On Tables.
On Saturday, a rather promising series,on the new channel this time – Rip It Up Unwrapped – onto episode 3, it’s Scottish music through the ages. This week, the best of Scottish synth pop with Simple Minds, via Altered Images to Associates and Bronski Beat onto Chrvrches.
Rather like BBC4’s Friday night programmes (or the way they were until recently) it’s on Saturdays at 22:30
