Some of the behind-ythe-scenes figures of the Scottish music scene have been recognised in an exhibition taking place in September in London.

The Indie50 exhibition at the 71A Gallery in London’s Shoreditch features the work of photographer Dan Wilton – who has previously shot the likes of James Blake, Dizzee Rascal, Caribou – and who was commissioned to photograph each of the INDIE50 participants.

The brainchild of WeGotTickets – recognised as an ‘ethical’ ticketing agency – the exhibition aims to celebrate the unsung heroes behind the UK’s grassroots live music.

A number of significant Scottish names are included in the list of winners, including Tallah Brash of Edinburgh’s Electric Circus, Synergy Concerts’ founder Grainne Braithwaite, Amanda Stanley and Stacey Walton of the feminist arts and music collective TYCi, and King Tut’s booker Craig Johnston.
