Starless release their second album, ‘Earthbound’, via Last Night From Glasgow.

The brainchild of Paul McGeechan (Love and Money / Friends Again), Starless released what was his ‘solo’ debut, a self-titled album, which appeared in 2016 on Marina Records.

And for his second long-player, McGeechan has again called upon a host of guest vocalists.

Returning after contributing to the 2016 debut are Julie Fowlis, Karen Matheson, and Marie Clare Lee, while Steven Lindsay (The Big Dish), Grahame Skinner (Hipsway), and Jerry Burns appear as part of the Starless collective for the first time.

Among the album’s 10 tracks is the second single, ‘Paper’, featuring the vocals of former Delgado Emma Pollock, while present again throughout the album are the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Also featured is vocalist Chris Thomson, who formed Friends Again with McGeechan in the early 1980s, the band releasing 1984 album ‘Trapped and Unwrapped’, before Thomson went on to front The Bathers while McGeechan formed Love and Money with James Grant.

The band recorded debut album ‘All You Need Is…’ in London in 1985 with producer Tom Dowd and Andy Taylor of Duran Duran, then sophomore long-player ‘Strange Kind of Love’ with Steely Dan producer Gary Katz.

Alongside his band career McGeechan has taken on production / mixing duties for Julie Fowlis, Roddy Hart, Capercaille, James Grant, Justin Currie and Ricky Ross, as well as
Beyoncé, Pavarotti and the French Algerian artist IDIR.

This latest release under McGeechan’s Starless banner comes on three vinyl versions – gatefold black, gatefold silver and gatefold transparent, the CD is packaged in a trifold pack with 18-page insert.
