Nice’n’Sleazy’s 20th birthday celebrations continue, with a neat trio of shows this weekend in particular. On Friday 10th, Meursault / Foxface / Silver Caves, the 11th has We Are The Physics / Otherpeople / Galoshins, and on the 12th it’s United Fruit / Hey Enemy / Salo.

Pelmet Nites celebrates its fifth birthday with a couple of shows – at Edinburgh’s Electric Circus on Thursday 10th with Midnight Lion, Washington Irving, Aerials Up, Endor‘s Jarv in solo mode, and Matt Norris & The Moon
And the following night i.e. Friday, Midnight Lion head to Dundee with Discopolis and Niteworks for a free show at Duke’s Corner.

And in Dundee again, at The Balcony Bar on Saturday, it’s 9 bands for the strange price of £3.99 – including The Cosmic Dead, Pensioner, Strangers Almanac, Min Diesel, and The Wildhouse – who launch album ‘Solanis’ on the night.

Finally, an innovation of sorts in Aberdeen on Sunday 13th which will please many readers of these pages: SSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH does what it says on the flyer, act playing really quietly, to a similarly quiet: Amber Wilson, Amy Sawers, Panda Su, Kerry Fowler, Sarah J Stanley, plus surprise guests. Any noise when the bands are on and you get gently taken outside and given a stern whispering-to.
It’s put on by our good friends at www.myspace.com/interestingmusic who are putting the showe on, at The Tunnels. Tix here.
