Modern Studies release a new single, ‘Run For Cover’, on Fire Records.

It’s taken from the third studio LP from the Glasgow-via-Lancashire group,’The Weight Of The Sun’, due out on 8th May.

“It’s a song about impending weather, like when you can see for miles and it’s just rolling in like a blanket,” says Emily Scott, one of the quartet’s principal songwriters, alongside Rob St John.

Pete Harvey and Joe Smillie complete the lineup, with the single, like albums ‘Swell To Great’ (2016) and ‘Welcome Strangers’ (2018), largely recorded at cellist Harvey’s home-run Pumpkinfield studio in rural Perthshire.

‘The Weight Of The Sun’ will be released on 8th May via Fire Records on limited edition deluxe Dinked ‘Sunburst Splatter’ vinyl, LP and CD.
