Kathryn Joseph has won the 2015 Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) award for her album ‘Bones You Have Thrown Me, And Blood I’ve Spilled.’

The album came out last year on Hits The Fan records, the label’s first release since Frightened Rabbit’s debut ‘The Greys’ in 2006.

Kathryn has previously worked under the name Kathryn Sawers, particularly around her hometown of Aberdeen, but the album documents her travels around Scotland before alighting at Glasgow’s Diving Bell Lounge where Marcus Mackay recorded the ten tunes on the album which would see off the likes of Belle and Sebastian, Paolo Nutini and Young Fathers to take the £10,000 first prize.
