Frightened Rabbit bassist star Andy Monaghan is to help re-launch the Oxfam store on Glasgow’s Byres Road with a DJ set this Wednesday (17th February). The West End charity shop re-opens its doors after a refit to become home to Scotland’s first Oxfam DIY fashion store, similar to the charity’s successful DIY store in London’s trendy Camden. The shopsits on the same street as two other related shops, Oxfam Books and Oxfam Music.
Monaghan said: “I’ve shopped at Oxfam stores for years and I’m happy to help in any way I can.” The 7pm event is open to the public will be able to see designs from local designers and artists like Lori Marshall and Stuart Ford. There will be snacks and treats available for shoppers. No tickets are required.
