Yoyohoney release a new single, ‘Sing Hallelujah’ via Black Sugar Music.

The track, featuring Judy Kim on vocals and Lrenzo Nanni contributing keys and instrumentation, was written and produced by Yoyohoney founder Mani.S – aka Mani Shoniwa, once of Edinburgh-based post-Fire Engines act Win.

Following the dissolution of Davy Henderson’s act after two long-players, Shoniwa formed dance act YoYoHoney, releasing album ‘Voodoo Soul’ in 1991.

His Black Sugar label runs out of the Lighthouse studio complex in the capital’s Granton.

The release features four mixes – those by Mani, Hugo Cantarra, and Dark Star out now, with a further reworking by Son of 8 due out on February 27th.

Zimbabwean-born and raised in London and Edinburgh, Shoniwa has also worked with Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell and, Tammy Wynette, and as well as once being asked to join Wham!, has had chart success in France, Finland, Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, Portugal and Slovakia.
