Bit of a last-minute guide this week (hey, we’ve been busy) but all the good stuff starts from Friday onwards anyway, pretty sure you didn’t miss anything…

Friday night, Edinburgh, Buzzcocks. With new material that sounds as good as anything they’ve done since the 1970s…
Also, Woodenbox launch their album at that Hidden Door thing, along with Pumajaw, Ultras and Blank Canvas.

On Saturday night, and with a new album coming any time now on Chemikal Undergrond, Miaoux Miaoux are at Aberdeen’s Lemon Tree. And Foreignfox are at, er, Eaast End Park in Dunfermline. That’s what it says here anyway.

At Audio in Glasgow on Saturday 29th May (2.30 – 10pm) it’s the Tech-Fest All Dayer – Heart Of A Coward headline, along with with the likes of Carcer City, Nexilva and The Colour Line in a warm-up for the tech-metal event coming up later in the year.

The Electric Frog festival, now just 9 weeks away (!) has a warm-up event on 29th and 30th May with Robert Hood, Julio Bashmore, Slam and Optimo, like the main event at the Riverside Museum.

Also on Sunday, at Dumfries’ Easterbrook Hall, it’s Emily Smith, while Miaoux Miaoux is at the Electric Circus in Dunfermline. Finally, Field Music are at another unlikely venue, the GFT.
