Be very afraid. Monday sees the return of Kula Shaker, and all the trousers and hair that entails, at the O2 ABC. At Edinburgh’s Electric Circus, same night, is Cattle & Cane. That’d better be a GoBetweens tribute act… while at Sneaky Pete’s, up-and-coming Sunflower Bean.

On Wednesday at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen, it’s jazzers GoGo Penguin, while White – the hotly-tipped act featuring former members of The Low Miffs – are at Tunnels. And not-quite-as-hotly-tipped-but-shoudle-be Damn Teeth are at Nice’n’Sleazy in Glasgow.

Thursday sees Damn Teeth hit Edinburgh, at Sneaky Pete’s.

On Friday, Slam are at Stirling Castle. Special occasion perhaps?

Saturday LA singer-songwriter Julia Holter is at Summerhall in Edinburgh, and White play Glasgow’s QMU. Best of all though is Shearwater at King Tut’s, while Rab Noakes is at Milngavie Folk Club. Meanwhile, former Special Neville Staple is at the Admiral.

And on Sunday, electronic legend Four Tet plays the Sub Club.
