Two (three) rather different gigs to recommend you this week: The Wedding Present follow up a recent-ish anniversary tour of debut album George Best, with one to celebrate the, er, 21st anniversary of Bizarro (that’s the one with ‘Kennedy’ and ‘Brassneck’ on it), though sadly the band don’t appear to be supporting themselves under their Ukranians guise this time – that honour goes to The Jet Age and Ringo Deathstarr.
They’re at Edinburgh’s Liquid Room on Tuesday 30th and Glasgow’s QM on the 2nd December.

And on Sunday 5th, Smackvan take their Slow Club evening (and support Arcs) to the Tunnels in Aberdeen in conjunction with Interesting Music.
The Slow Club also pitches up in Glasgow on the 12th for a mini-festival at the Flying Duck, with Cheer, Stevie Jones, Collisions and Trenchfoot also on that bill.
