We Were Promised Jetpacks return, with their first album in four years. ‘The More I Sleep The Less I Dream’ is released via Big Scary Monsters.

The quartet’s 10 track effort, their fourth long-player, follows up 2014’s ‘Unravelling’. The delay between releases may be explained by several marriages in the band, while each member turned 30 during the making of the new record.

The band worked with producer Jonathan Low (The National) over the course of five weeks at Minor Street in Philadelphia and Long Pond in New York’s Hudson Valley in early 2018.

Speaking to isthismusic.com earlier this year, guitarist Mike Palmer said: I’ve never been this happy with a record before. Writing and recording it was difficult, but difficult in the way that it’s supposed to be.”

The album is available on , , and .

The band embark on an autumn/winter tour, including Scottish dates in November:

Wednesday 14th – Aberdeen, UK @ The Lemon Tree
Thursday 15th – Glasgow, UK @ Saint Luke’s
Saturday 17th – Edinburgh, UK @ The Old Dr Bells Bath
