Vulin release a debut single, ‘Distorted Silence’.
Witten and produced by Fowlis based Scottish singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Craig MacLeod, the track features Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow) and Graeme Smillie (Arab Strap, Emma Pollock, et al).
Also featured are contributions from Stuart Hosking, Euan McLaughlin, and Seán McLaughlin – all former members of indie-folk act Dante, who put out album ‘I Wear Your Weight With Mine‘ in 2018.
Aside from Dante, MacLeod has been in various bands and projects since 2001, including Dead Fiction, who were also active until 2018, when they reased ‘Crushed By The Weight‘.
Written and recorded remotely due to the pandemic, ‘Distorted Silence’ was produced and mixed by MacLeod, and mastered by Guy Davie (The Smiths, Björk, Mogwai, The Shins, Sigur Rós, etc).
