Geneva frontman Andrew Montgomery releases a new single, ‘Dying on the Vine’, as part of Stockholm-based duo Unify Separate.

The vocalist of the Britpop-era act – who made four Top 40 singles and two albums on Suede’s Nude Records between 1996 and 2000 – has teamed up with Leo Josefsson, of Swedish band Lowe.

The two met, we’re advised, following “a drunken singalong to ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ (except without sequins) shortly after Montgomery had relocated to Sweden in 2014, releasing his debut solo album ’Ruled by Dreams’ the same year.

Josefsson is a something of a luminary of the Stockholm synth scene – also of Statemachine, he has been recognised at the Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards, including Best Newcomer, Best Live Act, Best Song and Best Album.

The duo released debut album ‘First Contact‘ in early 2020, not long after Montgomery reformed Geneva, releasing album ‘Fault Lines‘ and playing a handful of shows.

‘Dying on the Vine’ is available to download, or stream.
