Glasgow four-piece 21st century folk troubadour ensemble Trembling Bells have launched a live album recorded with Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy.
The four-piece have followed their work with the Incredible String Band’s Mike Heron to team up with the modern folk legend, the release being a live set of new songs, containing partly improvised versions of tunes from their release on the Honest Jon’s label, ‘The Marble Downs’.
The eleven tunes were recorded live at the Bullingdon Arms in Oxford and then mixed by drummer Alex Neilson and Tom Davis.
‘The Bonnie Bells of Oxford’ is available as a download via the band’s new website www.tremblingbells.com (within the Music section – scroll down a bit…) and also on Bandcamp.
