Edinburgh’s top pop label Song, By Toad, releases the sixth in its series of split 12″ singles.
The latest features Willard Grant Conspiracy, the three tracks being the first to appear since the death of founder member Robert Fisher.
Also contributing to the release are locals Tissø Lake (a Folklore Tapes side project of sorts) and Aberdeen lo-fi indie-folk legends Kitchen Cynics, as well as Micah P. Hinson, who performs a Phil Ochs cover on the EP.
The tracks were recorded over the space of several months in Toad’s new recording space The Happiness Hotel in Leith, by the label’s cigar-chomper-in-chief Matthew Young, and mastered by Reuben Taylor.
