This Mortal Coil – the 80s ‘supergroup’ synonymous with the 4AD record label – have their entire back catalogue re-released as a 4 CD boxed set. This will include the perhaps best-known tracks, ‘Song To The Siren’, as interpreted by the Cocteau Twins‘ Elizabeth Fraser and Robin Guthrie, and the version of Alex Chilton’s ‘Kangaroo’ by the Cocteau’s Simon Raymonde and Cindytalk‘s Gordon Sharp.

The three original albums – It’ll End In Tears, Filigree & Shadow, and Blood – have re-designed sleeves by Ivo Watts-Russell and Vaughan Oliver and each record has been re-mastered from the original analogue studio tapes.

Additionally there is a fourth album, Dust & Guitars, which will only be available as part of the set. Its tracklisting includes all the singles, including an unreleased track that was to have been part of the Rough Trade Singles Club and their otherwise unavailable recording of Neil Young’s ‘We Never Danced’.
