The Secret Goldfish release a new single, ‘Amelia Star’, via The Creeping Bent Organisation.

The single “heralds the end of summer – Kodak snaps, rounders in the park, sunlit eyelids, Roy Wood on the radio, summer breezes, sloppy joes – and the arrival of autumn.”

The band – Katy McCullars, John Morose, Steven Mcseveney and Paul Turnbull – recently released their first full-length album in 18 years, ‘Petal Split’, from which the new single is taken. The band also returned to the stage for the first time in 16 years in January 2016, with new guitarist James Kirk (formerly of Orange Juice).

The album features collaborations with Davy Henderson (Fire Engines / The Nectarine No9 / Sexual Objects), and covers of Outrageous Things (Vic Godard) and Ain’t That Always The Way (Edwyn Collins).

The band will be special guest of Vic Godard / The Sexual Objects at The Wee Red Bar, Edinburgh, on Friday 20th October, and The Admiral, Glasgow, on Saturday 21st Oct.
