Got to be honest with you, it looks like a sparse week for gigs, but what shows there make up for it. For example, on Wednesday 13th, in Edinburgh, former Teardrop Explodes and shamanic acid casualty Julian Cope is at the Liquid Room

The following night, in Edinburgh again, sees The Cathode Ray launch their album ‘Infinite Variety’ , at The Voodoo Rooms Ballroom.
Same night, The Phantom Band are at Summerhall, along with Jonnie Common, Man of Moon, and digitalanalogue. It’s under the ‘Nothing Ever Happens Here’ banner, subtitled ‘but when it does it’s all on the same night’.

In Glasgow on Thursday, Lau play St Andrews in the Square, while noise terrorists Min Diesel plug their new album ‘Mince’ at Bloc.

On Friday 15th, Dave Arcari brings the blues (and gives it a good doing) to Dundee’s Buskers. Same night, same city, but on a boat – James Brown Is Annie perform at HM Frigate Unicorn (that’s what it says)

In Edinburgh on Friday, Kathryn Joseph is at the Bongo Club

Saturday evening sees Davesnewbike give their new release ‘Wanderlust’ a plug at Edinburgh’s Pleasance Cabaret Bar, while over in Glasgow, Fife’s finest Jamie & Shoony are at Broadcast. Further over, Dave Arcari plays Hac in Irvine.

On Sunday, Copenhagen’s finest, Mew are at Glasgow’s O2 ABC, while at SWG3, a long-since sold out show from American Football. And last but not least, in Inverness, The Winter Tradition are at Ironworks.
