The Method One release a new single, ‘This Car Crashes’.
The follow-up to recent track ‘Urban Alice’, it comes from an EP ‘Corners Of Your Mind’, due for release on 17th April via Ambulance Recordings.
The Greenock quintet – Dave Mac, Robert McGovern, Foley, Dodge, and John McLelland – worked on the track with producer Joe Foster, previously of Creation Records and responsible for the sound of the early works of the Jesus And Mary Chain and Primal Scream. The members have previously played in a number of acts, most notably guitarist McGovern, who was part of Spirea X alongside former Primal Scream man Jim Beattie.
The band have been touted by Creation boss and one-time Oasis manager Alan Mcgee as “The Rolling Stones jamming with The Stooges and Spiritualized.”
The band – formed from the ashes of Glasgow band Dresden – have toured with Ocean Colour Scene, Dodgy, Cast and Reni out of The Stone Roses.
