Something of a sparse gig guide this week, though a busy Friday is promised in Embra – with an album on the way, The Last Battle play the Wee Red Bar, while flavour of the month Casual Sex are at the Electric Circus. And the Pictish Trail have one of those unusual shows in odd surroundings’ affairs, with a set at the National Museum of Scotland.
Black International make the long journey to Glasgow, for a show at the Roxy 171, while Steve Mason is in Falkirk… it’s an anti-fracking benefit with King Creosote, with tickets having been auctioned off ages ago. So we don’t need to tell you where it is, as if you have a brief for it, you’ll know.

The Stranglers are at Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre on Saturday 1st March. Meursault are somewhere equally far-flung, at Penicuik’s Toad Hall. Actually, I’m not sure that’s a real place. Toad Hall, that is. Or Penicuik, come to that. (Edit: it’s in the Town Hall, see Toad for more details).
Dave Arcari‘s at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine. That is a real place, just ask the locals.
More ‘centrally’, Aidan Moffat‘s at SWG3 in GLasgow- now, if memory serves, he’s got Prides and Miaoux Miaoux in toe for that one.

Finally, only one show in town on Sunday – The Second Hand Marching Band launch their stunning new album, at Glasgow’s Mono.
