The Fratellis release a single ‘Strangers In The Street’, on Cooking Vinyl.

The song will appear on the Glasgow-based act’s forthcoming album, ‘Half Drunk Under A Full Moon’, which is due out in October. However, this initial version – stripped-back to piano & strings – is also notable for featuring vocals from PP Arnold.

The soul legend, who first saw success in the 1960s with ‘The First Cut Is the Deepest’, also enjoyed a renaissance in the 1980s / 1990s, hitting the top 20 again with collaborations with Beatmasters, Altern-8 and Ocean Colour Scene.

100% of The Fratellis’ income from the single will be going to Spotify’s COVID-19 Music Relief Fund and the NHS HEROES appeal – the band saying: “We hope it brings some happiness & relief to you all right now.”
