The Dunts release a new single, ‘Marilyn’, on 7 West Music.

It’s the first new material from the Scottish four piece since releasing ‘G53’, taken from their second EP ‘Self-Proclaimed Council-Punk’ in 2018.

Available as a download or stream, ‘Marilyn’ was recorded and mixed by Chris Marshall, who also produced the track with Johnny Madden, all at 7 West Studios.

The latest single is also the first track from the quartet – Rab Smith, Colin McGachy, Kyle McGhee, Div McFarlane – to be released by 7 West following the label’s inception earlier this year.

Speaking about the single and video, Colin McGachy said: “Viewed from the perspective of a distraught fan ‘Marilyn’ is spoken as a letter to the pop culture icon. The song delves into the mystery surrounding Marilyn Monroe’s death. Verging into the realm of conspiracies and cover up’s, the song also pays tribute to the poem ‘The Death Of Marilyn Monroe’ by Edwin Morgan’, a poet laureate from Glasgow.”
