The Drive release a new single, ‘9:15’.

As well as being the debut release from the band – Genni Parker, Cian Parker, Lee Rettie, Lewis Fern and Ryan Patterson – it’s also the first release from new independent label Glassic Records, and is available to stream.

The five-piece began as a high school in Coatbridge, moving on to playing shows in venues such as the Classic Grand and Broadcast.

About the single, vocalist Genni Parker said: “9:15 is about being misunderstood by our parents, something that is very common as teenagers. Although we have a lot to be grateful for, we still can’t tell them everything and it’s normal to hide things. We are supposed to be young and free.”

Next live show for The Drive is in Glasgow at Ivory Blacks on Thursday May 16th as part of the Evolution charity event.
