Aberdeen five piece The Deportees release their debut album, ‘The Birth of Industry’.
The dozen tracks, including single ‘A Single Truth’, were recorded at The Mill studios in Crathes by Tristan Page and the band with additional recording at Merrickesque Recordings in Aberdeen by A.P. Henderson with the final product being mixed and mastered at The Depot Studio in Edinburgh by Ric Rogass.
The five-piece – Adam Morrice, Duncan Dallas, Richard Osborne, Adam Keenan and Diarmaid O’Gallagher – formed in rural Aberdeenshire around seven years ago, and were aided by backing vocalist Jenny Sturgeon on ‘I Lost Her to the Sea’ and ‘Ancient’.
