TeenCanteen have teamed up with the Last Night from Glasgow label and a slew of acts to release ‘The Christmas Effect’, a compilation in aid of Scottish Women’s Aid and the Scottish Refugee Council.

The album is a live recording, taken from a gig at Mono in Glasgow on Sunday 11th December where the likes of the Cairn String Quartet, Eugene Kelly, Broken Records and Mt. Doubt joined TeenCanteen to play Christmas cover versions.

The show raised £3,100 to be split between Scottish Women’s Aid and the Scottish Refugee Council.

The evening – reviewed very favourably by isthismusic.com – was also recorded, and after mixing and mastering by Stephen Watkins and Joe Kane, a live document of the show is available as a digital download album – just in time for Christmas.
