Belladrum Tartan Heart releases a festive Christmas single, a new take on ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’.

In aid of Belladrum’s 2020/21 lead charity partner ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’, its two tracks are available on CD, or as a Bandcamp download, as well as in person locally, in Beauly from Café Biagotti & Morrisons Ironmongers as well as Kiltarlity Post office.

The A-side’s all-star band features favourites and regulars from the festival including Julie Fowlis; Gary Innis of Manran (and former Scottish shinty captain, local act Torridon, Colonel Mustard & the Dijon 5, Fun Box, Rhythmnreel, James Mackenzie, and The Dangleberries.

Everyone involved recorded their parts at home, with the audio and accompanying videos being edited by Keith Morrison from Wee Studio on the Isle of Lewis.

Also included is a version of ‘Silent Night‘ recorded by pupils from Bella’s local primary School, Tomnacross. Pupil Evie Mackinnon won a school-wide competition to design the cover art.

The When You Wish Upon a Star charity, founded in Nottingham 30 years ago, grants the Wishes of children living with a life threatening illness, having helped over 17,500 youngsters across the UK.

The festival – founded in 2004 and which has sold out in advance every year since 2008 – will (lockdown permitting) take place between Thursday July 29th and Saturday 31st July 2021.
