Sycamore release their debut album, the third release on Glasgow label Ubisano.
The band are a trio consisting of three long-standing members of the indie scene in Scotland.

Guitarist Jer Reid is formerly a member of Dawson as well as having worked with God Is My Co-Pilot, and has collaborated with various musicians and artists on his Winter Cycle project as well as working live with Issho Taiko Drummers.

Stevie Jones (also on guitar) is a former member of El Hombre Trajeado as well as a touring member of Arab Strap as well as playing with both Malcolm Middleton and Aidan Moffat & Bill Wells – and, Alasdair Roberts and Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan’s bands.

Shane Connolly (drums) is a member of One Ensemble and Tattie Toes. He is also a member of Glasgow’s Issho Taiko Drummers and has toured with the professional taiko drumming group, Mugenkyo, while running his own Sokobauno Puppet and Object Theatre Company.

Also on the release are some hired hands:
Daniel Padden (Volcano the Bear. The One Ensemble) on bass clarinet; Georgie McGeown (Issho taiko drummers) – flute; Nerea Bello (Tattie Toes) on vocals; Aby Vulliamy (National Jazz Trio of Scotland; Wells and Moffat; ex of Scatter, The One Ensemble and Nalle) – viola, vocals ; Sarah Kenchington (instrument maker/ improviser) – hurdy gurdy, horns,etc. and Bill Wells (Bill Wells Trio / Octet; Wells and Moffat) on piano
