Former Scars frontman Robert King releases his first solo single.

‘Super 8′ comes as a three-track download, released via Rubber Taxi Records of Glasgow.

As well as the lead track, the single contains two remixes of the tune – by Russell Burn, formerly of Fire Engines/Win, and Robert Blamire – of the recently reformed Penetration, and who also produced Scars’ album ‘Author! Author!’.

King is now based in the south of France, although he returned to Scotland six years ago, for a sold-out Edinburgh show by his former band. Before this he was completing university studies of ancient Mediterranean languages and culture, as well as continuing a sporadic music career which included collaborations with Nico, Rezillos, and the Human League’s Jo Callis.
