Studio Kind Of Green teams up with Locked Hands for a new EP, ‘Making Light’, on the Kind Of Green label.
Available to stream or download on Kind of Green Records, the three tracks – ‘Making Light’, ‘Hear Me Out’, and ‘Sweet Traffic Symphony’ – were produced between 2019 – 2020 “at various locations within the ‘EH’ postcode” during the UK Covid-19 lockdown.
Studio Kind Of Green is the nom de plume of Carey Walton, a producer originally from Auckland in New Zealand, but now relocated to West Lothian.
Working with Belfast-born, Edinburgh resident Sean Ormsby’s Locked Hands persona, the three tracks developed from what they describe as “a long-term mutual admiration and more recently swapped audio files.”
Walton took on music and production duties, playing bass, guitar and keys, and Ormsby – also one half of Blue Tiles – provided lyrics and vocals (with Maya on backing vocals for ‘Sweet Traffic Symphony’).
With SKOG now established in Scotland more collaborations and solo releases are planned for the near future.
