Vancouver act North Atlantic Explorers release an album ‘My Father Was A Sailor’, which features Looper (and former Belle & Sebastian man) Stuart David.
The concept piece is a collection of nautical-themed songs inspired by Glenn D’Cruze’s late father’s life at sea with the British Merchant Navy. It includes a fourteen-strong choir singing multi-part harmonies, a horn section featuring JP Carter (Destroyer), as well as the narratives by Stuart David.
The video album trailer was filmed across Scotland and on the Atlantic Ocean and North Sea aboard an Iceland-bound cargo ship.
