Glasgow/West Lothian four-piece indie rock band Static Satellites release a new single, ‘Waster’.

The band – comprising Ross Whelan, Sam Carlyle, Ally Taylor, and Ciaran Boyle – describe the new song as: “the story of an individual who has self-destructive tendencies,: capturing “the desperation of a plea from a friend or family member who intervenes at a time when the individual is letting their tendencies control their life. The whole song is a plea to save a friend who is slowly isolating themselves with their behaviour.”

‘Waster’ follows debut single ‘Spin’, from May this year, which tackled the issue of mental health and the stigma it has within our society. Proceeds were donated to Samaritans, and the band reached their £100 target.
