The State Broadcasters release a new album ‘A Different Past’

Their third album is their first in five years and their first since the departure of founding member and frontman Graeme Black, who left shortly after the opus was completed.

The band lineup is now Pete MacDonald (piano, trombone, vocals), Gillian Fleetwood (harp, accordian, vocals), Cameron Maxwell (double bass, trombone, electric bass, vocals), David McGinty (guitar and vocals) and Susan Appelbe (cello, vocals).

The ten track album follows 2009 debut The Ship and the Iceberg, and the 2012 follow-up, the darker toned Ghosts We Must Carry,

The album launch takes place at the Wee Red Bar on Friday 24th March, with The Son(s) and Hailey Beavis – a Gentle Invasion show promoted by Bart Eagleowl. That’s followed by a hometown gig in Glasgow on 26th March presented by Olive Grove Records. Tickets available for both shows here.
