In Glasgow on Thursday, Shambles Miller is at McChuills, while in East Kilbride, at The Village Inn, it’s former Spear of Destiny / Theatre of Hate frontman Kirk Brandon – with former Alarm man Dave Sharp in tow.

On Thursday, Lost Map signings Tuff Love are at Edinburgh’s Henry’s along with Fife-born Krautrockers Miracle Strip.

Perth singer-songwriter (and former Jennifers member) Michael Rattray plays a one-off charity gig in his hometown, at The Green Room on Thursday, March 13th.
He’ll be accompanied by cello, violin, bass and guitar, although the show is primarily an acoustic one. Also on the bill are Iona Marshall and The True Gents.

On Friday Tuff Love head to Glasgow, with locals Spook School guesting this time.

More unexpected rock’n’roll action in Perth this week as Pinact appear at Perth Tams on Friday, while there’s more Lost Map action with Seamus Fogarty playing the Glad Cafe.

Hue and Cry – remember them? – play Glasgow’s O2 ABC to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their Remote and Bitter Suite albums. Friday, 14th March sees the duo play a ‘stripped back’ performance while on Saturday, 15th March the Kane brothers perform with a full eight-piece band.

Machines In Heaven – recent winners of Electronic Act (er, I think) at the SAM Awards are in Glasgow on Friday, at Stereo.

Inverness doesn’t have a lot going on this week but worth a mention is the appearance of Dr Feelgood at Ironworks on Friday (even if they feature approximately one less member than even The English Beat do (though drummer Kevin Morris has been with the band for over 30 years, which isn’t too bad going)

Also on Friday in Edinburgh, Dean Owens is at The Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh with new band Deer Lake. If you buy your tickets in advance you will get a free copy of debut single ‘Like Ghosts’. See the video below!
