All-female trio Sisters of Velveteen release an EP, ‘S3CR3† S∆CR3D SØNGS’.

The five-track effort, probably really entitled ‘Secret Sacred Songs’, is available on CD as well as a download.

The Paris-based trio – consisting of Karmin, Josefa, and Glasgow-raised main songwriter Ruby – also called upon Holy Louis Boot for percussion and glockenspiel on the five tracks.

Boot also co-wrote ‘Two Lochs’ with the band, while ‘Cockleshells’ was composed by Ruby with Fabrice Jaquet.

The band play a couple of Scottish shows – firstly, an appearance at the Mhor Festival in Balquidder on Sunday May 26th, followed by a gig at Tchai Ovna in Glasgow‘s Otago Lane on Tuesday 28th.
