Seonaid Aitken releases a new single ‘Papillon’.

Taken from recent album ‘What Is This Thing Called Love?’, it’s described by the award-winning violinist, vocalist and composer/orchestrator as “a jazzy wee French-style waltz for solo violin and string orchestra”.

Thus, there’s a free download of the sheet music via Bandcamp with every purchase of the single.

Aitken – also known as a Radio Scotland presenter, of The Jazz House – takes on solo violin duties for the track, as well as the composition and orchestral arrangement with the Scottish Session Orchestra.

‘Papillon’ is also available via the usual outlets to stream or download, and is accompanied by a video is by fellow gypsy jazz musician, Dutch artist Irene Ypenburg.
