Scunner release a festive EP, ‘Selection Box’.

The five track effort – available to download – concludes a busy year for J J Mills, Disco Dave, Jim Cosgrove, Paul Puppet and The Lunatic Engineer.

The band have been releasing music regularly during lockdown, most recently single ‘Snuff Mill Saturday‘, in November.

It also continues the Glasgow-based vaudevillian pop combo’s tradition of regular December releases, following last year’s ‘Festive Dunces‘ and from 2018, ‘No Dr. Who This Christmas’.

In 2020 Scunner have also been working with various other acts on ‘Product’, a set of than 70-odd one-minute lockdown songs by the likes of Duglas T. Stewart, Lavinia Blackwell, and Monica Queen and Johnny Smillie, all currently available as a Youtube playlist.

Each of the five topically-titled tracks come with a video – ‘A Digital Christmas‘, ‘Creepy Santa‘, ‘Here’s To Christmas 2020‘, ‘Logical Xmas‘, and ‘What If You Can’t Shop?‘.

The new EP also sees the various band members taking on writing and vocal duties. “Like its chocolatey counterpart, each festive treat is completely different to the next,” says frontman Paul Puppet. “This could possibly be the most eclectic release Scunner yet,” he adds.
