Scunner release a new single, ‘Snuff Mill Saturday’ – available to download via Bandcamp.

The new track from J J Mills, Disco Dave, Jim Cosgrove, Paul Puppet and The Lunatic Engineer (or whichever combination has been able to meet up lately), follows previous single ‘Sundial‘, from October.

The song – reeking of “60s TV dramas, broken hearts, social trends… and the kitchen sink” – comes with a nostalgic video, filmed at Snuff Mill Bridge, Cathcart and Battlefield in Glasgow, and featuring the legendary restaurant, Battlefield Rest (formerly the old tram store/kiosk outside the Victoria Infirmary, just along from Hampden).

Next up for the band is, hopefully, the completion of the album version of ‘Product’, their set of than 70-odd one-minute lockdown songs by the likes of Duglas T. Stewart, Lavinia Blackwell, and Monica Queen and Johnny Smillie, all currently available as a Youtube playlist.
