Scunner release a new single ‘The Southside Waltz’.

Available to download, it’s the third in the Glasgow act’s “Southside trilogy” after previous tracks and videos ‘Snuff Mill Saturday‘ (at the titular bridge in Cathcart) and ‘Sundial‘, about / filmed in King’s Park.

This time the vaudevillian pop combo focus on Croftfoot and Maxwell Park, as well as Shawlands Cross and its 1960s tram centre – by coincidence (or not), the track features the Mellotron synthesiser, which itself first appeared in 1963, with footage from that era compiled into the song’s video, again by Walkerandwilliam.

If that’s not enough audio and visual of the band, Scunner were also recently part of PLUGGED IN AND WIRED, a virtual festival by Southside Fringe Glasgow.
