Salvador Barras releases an album, the eponymousishly-titled ‘Salvador Barras Is On The Money’.
Via the Glasgow Arthritic label, its 13 separate instrumental tracks chart the rise and fall of a company, from opener ‘Articles of association’ via ‘Loss leader’ and ‘Industrial relations’ through to ‘Members voluntary liquidation’.
Glasgow Arthritic – an arts and music collective – champions work created by over-30s in the Glasgow area, and released the album as a limited cassette, which has already sold out – although the dwnload is still available on Bandcamp.
The label have not made the release available for streaming, which we like, and in keeping with their aesthetic, the album uses modern and vintage synths recorded onto 4-track tape recorded in a deliberately lo-fo style.
