Salt release an album, ‘Cellophane’, on Rough Trade-affiliated label HX Records.

Available only on vinyl, it follows a string of recent singles, including the album’s title track, released in June.

The quartet – Sharon Woods, Robin Woods, Jamie Mearns and Simon Kettles -include members of 80s acts Vatican Shotgun Scare and The Ruby Suit, as well as a 19-year-old drummer, with his bandmates “a little older”.

The band’s members resurfaced in 2018 after some time in ‘hibernation’ although Woods and Kettles play in Ramones tribute Carbona Not Glue, which has going for over 25 years – the longest running Ramones tribute band in the world.

We can also expect a video made by New York director Dylan Mars Greenberg, who was commissioned to create a documentary called ‘Under the Charts’, created during the lockdown period. It is scheduled to be aired on Channel 4 in March 2021.
