Rudebeard release a festive single, ’20-20′ via F&J Records.

Written and arranged by Graeme Mearns, the track follows two previous EPs, June’s ‘As You Walk Away‘ and a three track set ‘Disgrace‘, from August – both sets recorded remotely during lockdown.

The new tune from the septet – who also number Rod Drysdale, Ali Hendry, Becky Verdon, John MacFarlane, Gordy Davidson and Adam Lawson – is available to download via Bandcamp as well as via the usual online sources.

The (usually) ska/punk combo are drawn from various acts such as the Amphetameanies, Capone and the Bullets, Newtown Grunts, Joe Viterbo, The Banditos, Bulky Matron and Randolph’s Leap. Of the “glum” new release and change in musical style, the band say: “it might be interpreted by the psychiatrically-inclined as some kind of breakdown. But we feel better for getting it out of our system.
