Ruadh release an album, ‘Sovereign’, on the German Northern Silence Productions imprint.
Taking its name from an area in Ayrshire, Ruadh is the Black Metal project of Glasgow-based musician and songwriter Tom Perrett.
All instrumentation and production on the 6-track long-player, which extends to 50 minutes in length, is by Perrett, apart from drums from Philip Morisson.
Pronounced “Roo-Ah” (which itself translates to “red”), the name comes from his birthplace, in one of the oldest Burghs in Scotland, which translates to “The red glen”.
The album, which draws influences from the likes of Bathory, Buzrum and Saor, is released digitally and as collector’s edition in CD digipack, as a limited edition of 1000 copies.
