Roy’s Iron DNA have released what they describe as “the world’s first augmented reality album”.
The 10-track opus ‘Exposure’ is available as a tabloid-style newspaper, each page scannable with a smartphone or tablet app which will kick off an individual video for each tune.
10,000 copies of the newspaper have been printed, distributed free to over 250 music shops, cafes, galleries, pubs, clubs, colleges and universities across Scotland.
The project is funded by Creative Scotland, and the videos can be seen online at the band’s Vimeo channel.
The band play a show at a secret location in their hometown of Berwick upon Tweed on Saturday June 6th, before further launch shows at The Mash House in Edinburgh on Saturday 13th. They also make an appearance at the Audio Soup Festival in the Borders, from July 17-19.
