Roddy Woomble releases a new single ‘Everyday Sun’.

Available to stream and download, it’s the title track of a forthcoming EP, which will appear on limited edition vinyl and CD.

The new material from the Idlewild frontman was written alongside frequent collaborator and bandmate Andrew Mitchell, and recorded in the latter’s Dundee studio.

“I greatly enjoyed both of Andrew’s instrumental solo albums (under his Andrew Wasylyk moniker),” Woomble says of the new songs, “and really liked the idea of trying to read some of my words over his compositions.”

“Andrew would send over ideas, essentially basic beats, and Roddy would construct lyrics around them.

“It was interesting just to have an electronic drumbeat to base my words around,” he adds.
