Roddy Hart & The Lonesome Fire release an album, ‘Swithering’.
The album follows up the full band’s self-titled debut long-player, though Hart had previously released debut studio album ‘Bookmarks’ in 2007 on Vertical Records (featuring Kris Kristofferson and Eddi Reader, followed by ‘Sign Language’ and ‘Road Of Bones’.
However, the new release has seen a more collaborative approach with the band – the titular frontman, plus Scott Clark, Andy Lucas, Scott Mackay, John Martin, Geoff Martyn, and Gordon Turner – working in a rehearsal room in Film City, in Govan over a number of months, with Paul Savage taking on co-production duties.
The 12 tracks include the first single to be lifted from the album, ‘Violet’.
