Roddy Campbell releases a solo album, ‘The Electric Brae’.

The self-released 10-track debut long-player from the former lead vocalist is available to stream or download from CDbaby, Amazon, iTunes, Tidal and Spotify.

Produced by Joe Kane, the album also features contributions from members of Trembling Bells and The Hidden Masters.

Currently based in La Rioja in Spain, Glasgow-born Campbell was previously vocalist with Dead Fly Buchowski, who released two singles and an album, ‘Land OF The Rough’, for Beggars Banquet.

Since his move, Campbell has played with various Spanish acts including Conn Bux and The Skelves.

The inspiration for this album is The Electric Brae in Ayrshire – a “gravity hill” where a vehicle will appear to be drawn uphill by some mysterious force.

The term “electric” dates from a time when it was incorrectly thought to be a phenomenon caused by electric or magnetic attraction within the Brae.
