Things are kicking into shape again gig-wise, with a load of shows not conoected to that big festival thing in Glasgow.
However, Celtic Connections first -Chemikal Underground have a 3-band show at Brel on Tuesday 24th – Malcolm Middleton, Rick Redbeard and Found (Emma Pollock, Zoey van Goey and Wounded Knee are on same time, same place, the following Tuesday, 31st).

White Heath have a one-off show on Sat 25th at Stairway in Glasgow www.Fakefrownrecords.com.

In Edinburgh on Thursday 26th, United Fruit, Paws and Vasquez celebrate Vic Galloway’s 20 Years of Grunge™ at the Electric Circus

White Neon Records – a new label founded by students at Perth College UHI – launches with a show at The Hideout in Abertay Union, Dundee on Thursday 26th, with live sets from Eilidh McGuire, Lost City Soul, Radio Arcade and headliners Waiting on Jack, as well as DJ sets from PlanIsFear and Soviet Dance Reunion.

Back in Glasgow, RM Hubbert releases second long player Thirteen Lost & Found next week, but the launch is at Glasgow’s Stereo on Friday 27th. Collaborators Aidan Moffat, Alasdair Roberts, Emma Pollock, John Ferguson, Marion Kenny, Hanna Tuulikki, Shane Connolly, Rafe Fitzpatrick and Michael John McCarthy will all appear for what Hubby says is “the first (and probably last) live performance” of the album.

Finally, in Mad Hatters in Inverness on Friday 27th, Netsounds Unsigned’s first showcase of features local lads Team Kapowski along with Dead Boy Robotics and Lady North who both travel up from Edinburgh for the occasion.
