Ed Dowie releases a single, ‘Yungpawel’, on the Lost Map label.

It comes from forthcoming album ‘The Uncle Sold’ which is due for release in January.

With a career that began as a chorister and an organist in Dorset, Dowie formed Bournemouth-based Brothers in Sound in 1998 who were signed alongside the beta Band to Regal Recordings. Like the Fife-born trio they released three EPs as well as the album ‘Family Is For Sharing’.

Dowie eventually released a solo EP ‘Unpacking My Library’ in 2012 followed by another EP, ‘The Adjustable Arm’, before finding himself on The Pictish Trail’s Eigg-based imprint.

He launches the album in London with a midday matinee show at the Union Chapel as part of Daylight Music on Saturday, November 12.

The single is available at lostmap.com.
