Singer-songwriter Andrew Howie releases an ambient / noise album entitled ‘Scars Are Like A Beacon’.

The entirely instrumental 10-track effort is a ‘re-imagining’ of his 2015 album ‘The Great Divide’ – but sounds little like that release, instead harking back to Howie’s days recording under his Calamateur moniker (in particular 2002’s ‘Autocity’ EP).

The re-sampled and reworked source sounds all come from last year’s release and were created by Howie, aside from backing vocals on some of the source material by Yvonne Lyon, and vocals on ‘Disarm’ recorded at a church in Frejus, France by daughter Anna, aged 6.

The 10-track opus, as ever on the Autoclave label, is available on cassette as well as a download.
